Mrs. Grossman's Sticker Factory
During the exciting visit to Mrs. Grossman's Sticker Factory, students will experience the factory process up close and personal. Students are able to actually walk the factory floor and see the stickers travel through all of the phases of the printing process as well as observe how they are sorted and packaged. There's even a laser cutter that's used to cut fine details into the stickers! Besides being an exciting and engaging experience for the students, this field trip brings to life the concepts from our Social Studies unit on Consumers and Producers. Students will gain firsthand knowledge about how a product is created, manufactured, and prepared for consumers to purchase. Being able to see the manufacturing of a good that many of them consume themselves solidifies and brings home the concept of what it means to be a consumer and producer in their own lives.
